Record the funny things you hear in the car
Detail the bedtime routine, from the mess made brushing teeth to the end of the last bed time story
Take a photo with your family pets and tell their story

  • January 18th - Include monumental current events. Did you kids ask about the Haiti disaster? How did your family cope with all of the rain?
  • January 25th - Take a photo of your house and car. Talk about how you ended up in this house, what improvements you may have made, what you'd like to do in the future. Same goes for your car. Why are you driving this kind?
  • February 1st - Make sure to take photos and record the stories of all of thier emotions. Get a shot of a tempertantrum and those crocodile tears!
  • February 8th - How hard is it to wake them up for school? Make sure to get one of those puffy, red eyed sleepy photos and let them know if they were the type to bound out of bed or if you had to drag them kicking and screaming!
  • February 15th - Valentines Day, How did you celebrate?
  • February 22nd - Take a photo of your childs school and Teacher.  Tell them about the grade that they are in. How do they like it, what is the teacher's name? How many kids are in their class. Who is their best friend and why? What is their favorite subject? Which subject are they best in? Make sure to include your childs report card(s) in your family journal!
  • March 1st - Take a photo of your childs bedroom. Tell them the story of how it came to be docorated the way it is or isn't. Do they have to clean it themselves? Do they make their bed? Do they share a bedroom with a sibling? How do they cope with that?
  • March 8 th - Spring Sports! What are your kids playing? Make sure to get some action shots! And a photo with their whole uniform on!
  • March 15th - Daylight savings (finally!) how does it affect your family? Is it hard to get the kids to bed on time when it stays light so much later? How did you all do losing and hour of sleep?
  • March 22nd - St. Patrick's Day. How did you celebrate? Did your kids tell you the whole story of whom St. Patrick is?
  • March 29th - Spring Break! What are your family plans?
  • April 5 - Easter! Did you have an egg hunt? Go to church? What did thier Easter Basket look like?
  • April 12 - Are your kids losing their teeth yet? Make sure to get a big toothless grin and record the date!
  • April 19th - Brownies? Girl Scouts? Cub Scouts? Get a shot of that uniform, those cookies and camp outs!
  • April 26th - Do you have a photo with ALL of the relatives? Whether it be a group shot or individuals make sure to record those relatives. Ask them to write a note to your family or children so you can include it in this years book!
